The
Grand Avenue stretches over a distance of 215 metres with
60 flowerbeds dedicated to each of the region's locality.
It is the "red carpet" that is rolled out to greet
our visitors leading them on a discovery tour of the gardens.

Smell
the Herb Garden, here you will find: aromatic herbs,
medicinal herbs and even edible flowers. This garden is reminiscent
of the period of Charlemagne in the VIII century and the beginning
of the use of plants for medicinal purposes.

Delve
into the past with the decorative garden inspired by
France's Jardins de Villandry, one of the most beautiful gardens
in the world. This impressive garden, as big as two football
fields, has a place of honour in the centre of the gardens.
Our horticultural chef makes it a point of honour to add new
varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers each year. Thus,
the arrangement and colour of the garden evolves with the
years. In the vegetable garden, there is a variety of ancient
vegetables such as: the potato, the carrot, the celery and
others.
This
vegetable bed is dedicated to our fathers, mothers and ancestors
who, since the founding of New France, have planted "the
garden" near the house to feed their big families.

Imagine
a floral embroidery, a mirror image of the gardens of the
kings of the Middle Ages. That is what you will find in the
South of France flowerbed. It is a reflection of the French-style
gardens created by Le Nôtre, similar to those of Versailles.
It transports the visitor back to the splendour of the XVII
and XVIII centuries.

Float
on the mirrored Basin, this flowerbed composed of mosaic symbols
(Orient Carpet) is a reminder that the first gardens
of the world were in the Middle East.

In
the vicinity of these sculptured gardens where the gardener
is both the actor and the director, the landscaped woodlands
grow at their own pace demonstrating that the earth is an
immense garden that has been cultivated since the beginning
of time.
Landscaped
Garden and Perennial garden, here begin the English Garden
in which you will find such flowers as the iris, lilacs and
others and, let's not forget, the Rooster proudly preening
on the classical flowerbeds.
The
path of the gardens of Quebec. A brand new path (2001)
winding along a dozen flowerbeds, each more beautiful than
the next, from all over the province (from Gatineau to Métis)
has been named the Path of the gardens of Quebec.

The gardens are celebrating their 10 th anniversary in 2005. For this occasion, the daylily garden will be officially opened. A unique collection among public gardens in Eastern Canada : 1,800 different daylily cultivars planted alongside 650 lilies from 35 varieties. This collection greatly enhances the gardens, and care was taken to locate it in a large expanse that showcases its beauty .
